Muskegon Heights is looking for a new city manager

The City of Muskegon Heights is holding a community meeting to learn what people envision in the next city manager.

MUSKEGON, Mich. - The City of Muskegon Heights will be hosting a community meeting to discuss and receive comments regarding what the community envisions in Muskegon Heights next city and what is important as the City moves forward with the selection process.

The meeting will offer residents and business community an opportunity to share their comments regarding the strengths and challenges the community is faced with and what skills strengths and strengths will be important in the next city manager. 

The meeting will take place from 4 until 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday, April 10 at Muskegon Heights City Hall.

Back in February, the Muskegon Heights City Council appointed an acting city manager after the former manager, Jake Eckholm resigned after nearly two and a half years. The acting city manager is semi-retired finance director Lori Doody.
