Local teens cook alongside pros for VIP dinner at DeVos Banquet Kitchen

They assisted chefs from Van Eerden Foodservices Food Show. The dinner honored Van Eerden's top customers.

Five Muskegon Area Career Tech Center students got the opportunity to cook alongside professionals on Monday night, March 6.

Brandon Archer, Kayla Carlson, Emily Little, Ryker LaFlame and Kayne Picklesimer are all enrolled in the hospitality and tourism program at MACTC. They helped prep the meal for 500 VIP guests at the DeVos Banquet Kitchen.

They assisted chefs from Van Eerden Foodservices Food Show. The dinner honored Van Eerden's top customers.

Four of the students started prep work on March 5, and all five put the finishing touches on the meal tonight. Those students will be joined by 12 more on March 7 as they attend an invitation-only food show.
