MUSKEGON, Mich. (WZZM) -- A $125,000 effort is planned to help study the best way to develop the Port of Muskegon.

The West Michigan Prosperity Alliance announced it would help fund a list of projects created by the Port of Muskegon. Some of that funding will come from the state, with the rest from private sources.

The study would examine infrastructure that ship operators need in Muskegon, including the airport, highways, and rail lines, in addition to the port itself.
