Ottawa Hills football team fights hunger

The Community Action focuses on meeting emergency needs such as, food, utility assistance, housing, transportation and socialization for residents of Kent County.

Ottawa Hills football players are tackling hunger this summer. Team members worked with Kent County Community Action and hosted a food drive Thursday, July 12.

Volunteering was the idea of Bengals Coach Christian Verley. Students were given the chance to give back to people right in their own community. The food will go to more than 700 homes in Kent County in need.
