Christmas is only days away, and students at West Michigan schools are doing what they can to make the holidays brighter for other children who might not otherwise be able to experience the joy of unwrapping gifts on Christmas Day.
WZZM 13 has been a long time partner with Toys for Tots, teaming up for our annual School Spirit Challenge. This year was one of our best in recent memory, with 53 schools participating from Kent, Ottawa, Muskegon, Allegan, Ionia, Montcalm, Newaygo and Oceana Counties.
The School Spirit Challenge finale is one of our favorite shows of the year on the 13 Morning News. From about 5:45 to 7 a.m., the participating schools visit our studio to present their donations to Toys for Tots.
