Pedestrian killed after being hit by two cars in Kent County

A 22-year-old man from Evart was killed in the crash.

OAKFIELD TOWNSHIP, Mich. - Police in Kent County are investigating after a pedestrian was hit and killed by a car on Lincoln Lake Avenue near McClain Street in Oakfield Township near Greenville on Saturday night around 10 p.m.

The victim has been identified as Nicolaus Martin, a 22-year-old from Evart.

The preliminary investigation shows that a 17-year-old driver was driving south on Lincoln Lake Road when he hit a man who was walking on foot on the unlit road.

Then police say that a second car was witnessed hitting the pedestrian after the first crash. The second car continued driving and failed to stop.

The man suffered fatal injuries in the crash. The Kent County Sheriff's Office is still investigating the incident.
