SPARTA, Michigan — One person has died and multiple others were injured after a two-car crash in Sparta Township Saturday evening.
The Kent County Sheriff's Office says the crash happened just after 7 p.m. on Sparta Avenue and Ball Creek Road NW.
Two cars collided when a Ford Escape, driven by a 27-year-old Greenville man pulled out in front of a Jeep Cherokee.
The driver of the escape died in the crash, and both the driver and passenger of the Jeep suffered serious injuries and were taken to a local hospital.
The passenger of the Ford Escape, a 28-year-old Greenville woman, along with two children, were transported to the hospital but are expected to be okay.
The crash remains under investigation.
