16-year-old Alyssa Eggerding died a day after she was in a car that police say crashed into a tree at 110 miles per hour in April. Several other students from Sparta and Comstock Park were hurt in the crash.

The blood drive will be held on Tuesday, March 14, from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. It is open to the public.

If you can't make it Tuesday, a pair of other Kent County schools will be hosting blood drives later in the week.

The blood drive is being hosted by Michigan Blood.
