The family is asking for help paying Tabitha's final expenses with a GoFundMe page.

SPARTA TOWNSHIP, Mich. - A 17-year-old girl has passed away after she suffered a serious head injury in a car crash last week.

Family members say Tabitha Paige Buozis died on Friday, Dec. 7, two days after the crash.

She was driving to school with her boyfriend of two and a half years when she lost control on the slippery road surface and crossed into the southbound lane. That's where she was hit by a Ford Edge driven by a 56-year-old woman from Newaygo who suffered minor injuries.
