One person was left hospitalized after a house fire in Walker Wednesday morning.

Walker Police told 13 ON YOUR SIDE that three people where in the home, located at 2228 Wilson Ave NW, at the time of the fire. One person is a paraplegic and sustained some injuries. They were promptly taken to the hospital.

Authorities shut down both sides of Wilson Avenue NW, between Richmond Street and Remembrance Road, due to thick smoke impacting visibility on the roadway. It re-opened once smoke cleared the area and crews knocked down the fire. 

No other injuries were reported. The incident is under investigation.
