Its been over two months since Hurricane Maria devastated Puerto Rico. Still, nearly half the population there remains without power and many still don't have clean water.

But a local couple who owns a juice shop in Puerto Rico is helping out. Kelly Hassberger and Charlie Peterson installed a clean water drinking system at their shop for their community to use. The couple is converting the water from the rain forest into clean drinking water.

They hope this new tool can provide immediate assistance if a massive storm were to strike again.

"What we found was after the storm, there wasn't really access to clean water and people were almost fighting over clean water, so this system we're putting in will provide 1,000 gallons a day continuously, for as long as it takes to get back to that normal flow of water," Charlie Peterson, a Holland native, said.

The couple stresses there's still a lot of supplies needed, especially batteries. The two set up a fundraising page.
