WYOMING, Mich. - Students and staff at Grand View Elementary School have evacuated the premises due to a gas leak nearby.
According to Grandville Assistant Superintendent Scott Merkel, the leak is coming from across the street and DTE is working to resolve the situation. Grand View Elementary is located at 3701 52nd St. SW in Wyoming.
Parents have been notified of the evacuation and have been given the option to pick up their students, but Merkel says school staff will continue to supervise students throughout the day.
