Man dies in collision on 44th Street in Grandville

Grandville Police were dispatched to an accident at 44th St. SW and the WB I-196 exit ramp around 4:30 p.m., on Wednesday.

GRANDVILLE, Mich. - A 50-year-old man was killed in a car accident, Wednesday afternoon.

Grandville Police were dispatched to an accident at 44th St. SW and the WB I-196 exit ramp around 4:30 p.m., on April 4.

Police say a 34-year-old Mecosta man ran a red light while traveling westbound on 44th St. He then hit the driver's side of a 50-year-old Walker man's Oldsmobile, who was turning left from the off ramp.

The driver of the Oldsmobile was pronounced dead at the scene.
