MUSKEGON, Mich. — Muskegon city leaders are planning a big celebration for the city's 150th birthday.

City leaders say the sesquicentennial will include three days of music at Heritage Landing on July 11-13.

Some of the acts include Bret Michaels, Gretchen Wilson, Kansas, Freddie Jackson and Warrant.

“The City of Muskegon has been a strong-hold for families, businesses, and visitors for 150 years.” Muskegon Mayor Steve Gawron said. “That’s a huge reason to celebrate."

Tickets will go on sale March 23 with Star Tickets. Save $5 on a Friday or Saturday ticket or save $10 on a three-day pass by purchasing your tickets March 23 or 24 through Star Tickets. Tickets will also be available at the Blues and BBQ event at the Muskegon Farmers Market starting on March 23 at 5pm.
