Muskegon County Airport introduces TSA Pre-Check Program

Enrollees will get expedited through security checkpoints without having to remove their shoes, jackets, belts or laptops.

Passengers at Muskegon County Airport (MKG) can now breeze through their travels. The airport’s TSA Pre-Check program launched Sunday which expedites pre-screened passengers through security checkpoints without having to remove shoes, jackets, belts and laptops or having to remove liquids from carry-on luggage.

TSA charges an $85 enrollment fee for five-year eligibility. Once enrolled, an indicator will be embedded on the passenger's boarding pass and scanned at the checkpoint. MKG also has a separate, pre-check line.

Participating airlines include Alaska Airlines, American Airlines, Delta Air Lines, Hawaiian Airlines, United Airlines, US Airways and Virgin America.
