Oceana County man in jail after pointing a gun at a lost pizza delivery driver

An Oceana County man is in jail after allegedly pointing a gun at a pizza delivery driver who was lost.

One Oceana County man is in jail for what some would call "jumping the gun."

According to police, a pizza delivery driver was lost in Oceana County's Greenwood Township around 6 p.m.

Investigators say the female driver from Mancino's Pizza in Fremont was lost and accidentally attempted to deliver a pizza to a home in the 8900 block of East Wilke.

When she pulled into the wrong driveway, 63-year-old Danny Hassevoort came out of the garage with a gun and pointed at her face. The driver took off and called police.

Hassevoort is being charged with "felonious assault" and is in jail on a $7,000 bond. He was arraigned on the charge in district court on Tuesday morning.
