The Secretary of State's office is bringing the services to the students this fall.
Students at 18 Michigan colleges and universities will have the chance to register to vote at the mobile office, Secretary of State Ruth Johnson announced Tuesday morning.
The SOS office will be launching the 3,000-mile statewide "2018 ExpressSOS Voter Registration Drive" on Tuesday, Sept. 4 at Oakland Community College's Auburn Hills campus. Students are encourage to register to vote at the mobile office, as well as take care of any other Secretary of State business they might have, right on campus.
The deadline to register to vote for the Nov. 6 general election is Oct. 8, the day the tour concludes.
Johnson says that staff, faculty and area residents are also welcome to utilized the mobile office's services at each stop. It will be open from 10 a.m. until 4 p.m. each day.
