GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. — Former Vice President Mike Pence will be speaking in Grand Rapids Wednesday evening at the Russel Kirk Center.

“What Do Conservatives Believe?” is the theme of the discussion this evening between Vice President Mike Pence, former U.S. Secretary of Education Betsy DeVos and Kirk Center CEO Jeff Nelson.

The Russell Kirk Center is a nonprofit conservative educational organization that was founded on the legacy of Michigan native, Dr. Russell Kirk.

The discussion this evening is in celebration of the 30th anniversary of Dr. Kirk’s book, The Politics of Prudence, as well as to announce a major new Russell Kirk Center initiative.

The event begins at 6:30 p.m. with drinks and appetizers and the discussion begins at 7 p.m. Tickets are sold out for the event.

The Kirk Center says that Pence has been a long-time fan of Dr. Kirk's work and says that "[Pence] has not been on vacation in more than two decades without bringing a Kirk book."
