Rachael Denhollander speaking at Calvin College Tuesday

Denhollander is speaking during Calvin College's January Series. She's the first woman to file a police report and speak publicly against former USA Gymnastics national team doctor and MSU physician Larry Nassar.

Larry Nassar survivor, Rachael Denhollander, will be speaking during Calvin College's January Series. 

On Tuesday, January 22nd at 12:30 p.m., Denhollander will present, "A Time To Speak: Addressing Justice and Forgiveness".

Denhollander is an advocate and educator who became known internationally as the first woman to file a police report and speak publicly against Larry Nassar. As a result of her activism, over 250 women came forward as survivors of Nassar's abuse, leading to his life imprisonment.  

In 2018, she was named one of TIME Magazine's 100 Most Influential People in the World.

The 2019 Calvin College January Series is free to the public and takes place 12:30-1:30 p.m. each weekday from Jan. 3 through Jan. 23 in Calvin’s Covenant Fine Arts Center, 1795 Knollcrest Circle SE in Grand Rapids.

The series features 15 people speaking on a variety of topics, including polarization in politics, immigration, race and America, sexual abuse, and climate justice, among others.
