EDMORE, Mich. — UPDATE: The National Weather Service confirms that the storm in Edmore was the result of "straight-line" winds and not an actual tornado.

###

A strong storm rolled through West Michigan Sunday afternoon, with thunderstorm warnings and watches impacting most of the area.

In Edmore, a village north of Ionia, photos shared on social media show significant storm damage at a local cemetery. Pictures showed downed trees and broken limbs.

The National Weather Service is still tracking reports of thunderstorm wind damage.

A tornado warning was issued for Barry County during the storm, but that is about 75 miles south of Edmore. That tornado warning was canceled after nine minutes.

A National Weather Service team surveyed storm damage in Nashville, Michigan. They will give an updated report on what appears to be strong wind or a possible weak tornado that impacted the area.
