22-year-old woman flown to hospital, two other people injured in Ionia County crash

Three people were hospitalized following a crash in Ionia County.

IONIA, Mich. -- The Ionia County Sheriff's Office is investigating after a crash shut down M-66 for 3 hours overnight.

It happened just before 10:30 p.m. at the intersection of M-66 and Tuttle Road.

According to a release from the Ionia County Sheriff's Office, a 22-year-old Ionia woman was driving west on Tuttle Road when she was hit by a Ford F-150 driven by a 20-year-old Orleans man. The woman was flown to Spectrum Butterworth with life threatening injuries.

The 20-year-old man and his 32-year-old passenger were both treated at the hospital as well.

Deputies say all three were wearing their seat belts at the time of the crash.

M-66 reopened around 1:30 a.m.
