West Michigan mother looking for man who got both her sons to safety

Jessica Creager was hit by a truck on Dec. 4, and she's been looking for the man who got her sons to safety ever since.

WALKER, Mich. - The only thing that Jessica Creager knows about her saving grace is his first name.

Creager was crossing 3 Mile Road at Alpine Avenue with her youngest son on her shoulders when a truck turned the corner too soon and hit her. She landed flat on the pavement. Her 1-year-old son Lincoln managed to land safely on her backpack. But, her 6-year-old had already made his way half way across the street when he realized his mother had been hit.

“It was like flight or fight. He started panicking and ran across the road, and that’s when Alex came from nowhere and swooped him up kind of like Superman," Creager said.

Alex went onto scoop up Lincoln and get him to safety, before helping Creager to her feet. Creager only managed to get his first name in the chaos. Alex stayed with the family for over an hour as first responders arrived on scene, he only left to grab dinner for Creager's two boys.

“To stay around until the ambulance left, he’s awesome. He’s an awesome person," Creager said on Dec. 17.

According to the driver's wife, he also stayed on the scene until Creager was cleared by first responders and is cooperating fully with the investigation.

Creager has been looking for Alex ever since the accident, which happened around 6 p.m. on Dec. 4. Her Facebook post about the incident has been shared hundreds of times with no luck.

"I don’t think he realized how much it means to have somebody go completely above and beyond like that," Creager said.

If you think you know the Alex that Creager is looking for, send us an email.
