Woman in critical condition after being shot in Grand Rapids

A dispute between neighbors turned into a shooting on Sunday and left one woman in critical condition.

UPDATE: Police have issued a warrant for Willie Bryant, 33, for the attempted murder of the 55-year-old woman.

Investigators say that there was a verbal argument between neighbors that escalated to violence between the suspect and the victim. Bryant was identified early on in the investigation, and police have been actively searching for him.

GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. - Grand Rapids police are searching for the person who shot a woman Sunday afternoon. It happened just before 2:30 p.m. on Thomas Avenue between Eastern and Fuller Avenues. The shooting occurred during a dispute between neighbors.

Police tell us at last check, the woman was in critical condition at a local hospital.

A description of the suspect has not been released, but police say they have ideas on who the suspect is. No arrest have been made.
