The Ferris State football team is back in the NCAA Division 2 playoffs for the fourth straight season.

This year the Bulldogs open with the Ouachita Baptist Tigers and an offense that can light up the scoreboard.

The Bulldogs seemed relaxed during the latter part of practice Thursday, showing a calm that comes from a team that's been here before. Last year Ferris State made their longest playoff run in 21 years. Any run this year starts with beating the Tigers, who average 39.4 points per game and have 4, 981 yards of total offense this season.

The Bulldogs finished the regular-season as the GLIAC's number one ranked defense and much will be asked of that unit on Saturday afternoon in Big Rapids.
