HOLLAND, Mich. - Holland Christian scored at least 30 points in each of its first three meetings this season, but their game Friday, Sept. 14 wouldn't go that way. The Maroons needed their defense to carry the load against a scrappy Byron Center team that, for the most part, did a nice job of keeping Holland Christian off the board.
The first drive of the game was the only score of the first half. That was a good looking pass from Wilson Wirebaugh to Brady Howe to put H.C. up 6-0 at halftime.
Howe would score another touchdown in the second half to give Holland Christian a 15-6 win.
The Maroons take on Zeeland East next week while Byron Center faces Zeeland West.
