For Greenville, growth starts with behavior

The Yellow Jackets were poised for a playoff birth last year, but they lost their last two games and finished with a losing record.

GREENVILLE, Mich. - Opening night for high school football in Michigan is Thursday, August 23, which means the 13 ON YOUR SIDE sports department has a lot of scouting to do before the first 13 On Your Sidelines show that same night. We're crisscrossing the area letting you know about as many West Michigan football programs as we can.

This year's Greenville Yellow Jackets hope to finish what last year's team could not. They have more depth, but it's going to take more than that to get over the hump.

Coach Eddie Ostipow says it's going to take leadership and behavior to create a winning culture.

Greenville starts the year against South Christian.
