Belknap Park Pavilion dedication ceremony

"We are very excited about the new pavilion dedication which will be a great kickoff to the start of the Meijer State games."

Grand Rapids, MI – The Grand Rapids Pickleball Club dedicated the pavilion at Belknap Park in honor of one of the organizations early board members.

The dedication for the the Peggy L Reed pavilion began at 6:00 p.m. Thursday June 21, 2018.

Reed was very passionate about the sport but also about the development of Belknap Park and the City of Grand Rapids. Paul Richards the Director of Advanced Play says, "We are very excited about the new pavilion dedication which will be a great kickoff to the start of the Meijer State games."

The Grand Rapids Pickleball Club started in 2012 and now has more than 600 members locally. The group has donated $100,000 worth of improvements to Belknap Park.

Pickleball combines elements of badminton, tennis, and table tennis. To find more information on the game or the organization go to the Grand Rapids Pickleball Club's website.
