Hundreds fill the Cathedral of St. Andrew for Easter Mass

It was a packed house for this Easter Sunday Mass at the Cathedral of St. Andrew,

GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. -- The sanctuary at the Cathedral of St. Andrew in downtown Grand Rapids was filled to capacity for Easter Sunday church services.

In fact so many were in attendance that they opened a second space so people could watch a live stream of the service.

About 375 local people became members of the Catholic Church this weekend, with the new members joining during Saturday evening services throughout the diocese.

The Diocese of Grand Rapids serves more than 191,000 Catholics, 82 parishes and 30 schools in an 11-county area of West Michigan.
