PLAINFIELD TOWNSHIP, Mich. - This week's Meijer Scholar Athlete of the Week is Shelbey Farr from Grand Rapids Northview.
Shelbey is a senior softball and volleyball player for the Wildcats.
She plans to head to Grand Valley State next year to begin studying to become a teacher and her 4.1 GPA shows she is ready for that challenge,
While she doesn't plan to play either sport for the Lakers, she is confident the lessons learned as an athlete will help her as a future teacher.
