Whitecaps season ends with loss to Bowling Green

On Sunday night, Bowling Green officially eliminated the Caps from the playoffs with a 3-1 victory in game two of the East Finals. The Hot Rods swept the best of three series two games to none.

BOWLING GREEN, Ky. - It is now all over for the West Michigan Whitecaps.

On Sunday night, Bowling Green officially eliminated the Caps from the playoffs with a 3-1 victory in game two of the East Finals. The Hot Rods swept the best of three series two games to none.

Just like in game one of the series Saturday, Bowling Green went ahead early. They took a three nothing lead in the third thanks to a Carl Chester RBI. West Michigan managed a run in the seventh but were shut down in the 8th and 9th innings.

The Hot Rods ended up winning 12 of 15 game from the Whitecaps this season.
