The Detroit Pistons have confirmed to the Free Press that the team has met with Michigan coach John Beilein over the past two weeks over their head coach vacancy.
ESPN's Adrian Wojnarowski posted on Twitter on Friday that Beilein interviewed with the Pistons on Thursday.
Beilein's allure to the NBA is his reputation as a talent developers, especially in the last few years at Michigan.
The longtime college coach was also a candidate for the Pistons coaching job when the team hired Stan Van Gundy back in 2014.
A source close to the coaching search told the Free Press that Raptors coach Dwane Casey had a strong interview on Thursday.
