DETORIT (AP) - It's day of the NFL Draft and the 10 year anniversary of the day the Lions selected Matthew Stafford. But right now the quarterback probably isn't thinking too much about either of those things.
His wife is back in the hospital Thursday morning.
Kelly Stafford had brain tumor surgery last week. She revealed on her Instagram that she was struggling with tapering off the steroids her doctors prescribed her.
"I thought I could do it," Kelly shared. "I thought I could power through the pain and massive headaches."
She stayed overnight for observations in hopes that she'll be allowed home later today.
ESPN reports Matt Stafford did return to a Lions facility for workouts Monday. But now team leaders are telling him to take all the time he needs while his wife recovers.
