KALAMAZOO, Mich. – The Western Michigan football team announced its 2016 schedule today. The Broncos will have six home games and six road games and have two mid-week #MACtion games, both on the road. Overall the schedule features six teams who went to a bowl last season, three of which come to Waldo Stadium.

The schedule features two notable Big Ten opponents early: WMU opens their season September 3rd at Northwestern and on September 17th they'll travel to Illinois to take on former Bronco head coach Bill Cubit and his Illini.

Times and television coverage are still to be determined.
