Science experiments from a pro: The Bearded Science Guy shows off a fire tornado

The Bearded Science Guy is a science teacher turned social media star, showing off fun science experiments online.

GRAND RAPIDS, Mich — Parents across the country are trying to keep kids learning at home and many are enjoying the visual fun of science experiments.

Friday, we introduce you to the Bearded Science Guy, who has been wowing the internet with his science experiments.

James Hambley, also known as the Bearded Science Guy on social media, has a wide range of science experiments on his channels. His experiments typically range from simple and safe at home to "better leave this to the professionals."

He showed off two simple experiments using only water, food coloring, oil and a small piece of thin plastic. The first experiment shows the different properties of cold water versus hot water. The second experiment shows how water and oil are different substances.

The third experiment, a fire tornado, is one of the most popular experiments. While very exciting to see, this experiment should not be repeated at home.
