16-year-old crashes into Ottawa County Sheriff's car

The driver said he didn't see the deputy's car when he pulled out in front of it, but the crash is being investigated.

COOPERSVILLE, Mich. — A 16-year-old driver crashed into an Ottawa County Sheriff driving in a fully-marked sheriff's car around 4:30 p.m. Friday. 

The teenager pulled in front of the sheriff's car in a Cadillac sedan which was driving northbound on River Street. 

There were three other 16 year olds in the teenager's car. Three of the teens suffered minor injuries but didn't need to go to the hospital. The sheriff's deputy also suffered minor injuries to her hand and face and was transported to a local hospital but is in good condition. 

The 16-year-old driver said he didn't see the deputy's car when he pulled out of in front of it, however, the Ottawa County Sheriff's Office is investigating the crash.
