2 men airlifted to hospital after head-on Barry County crash

Two men were seriously injured after a crash in Barry County Wednesday evening. A woman was also hurt and taken to the hospital in an ambulance.

HASTINGS CHARTER TOWNSHIP, Mich. — Authorities are investigating a serious crash that left two men seriously injured and hospitalized a third woman. 

It happened just before 6 p.m. on Wednesday, Sept. 25 on M-37, near River Road in Hastings Township. 

According to a release from the Barry County Sheriff's Office, a Ford Ranger was traveling north on M-37 and crossed the center line, striking a southbound Subaru Outback head-on. 

The Ford Ranger was driven by a 28-year-old Hastings man, a 48-year-old Nashville, Mich. woman was also in the truck. The Subaru Outback was being driven by a 41-year-old Woodland man. 

Both men were airlifted to area hospitals with serious injuries, authorities said. The Nashville woman was taken to the hospital, she also sustained serious injuries. 

The crash is still under investigation by deputies -- names of the three involved were withheld.
