Farm equipment tore up road in Ottawa County, road commission says

Crews are working to repair a section of the road that was heavily damaged by farm equipment.

What a mess!

Crews in Ottawa County are working to repair a section of Hayes Street between 32nd and 40th Avenue on Tuesday, Jan. 8 after it was damaged by a piece of farm equipment.

According to authorities, the broken asphalt has already been removed and workers are putting down limestone so drivers can still use it.

The Ottawa County Road Commission says the cost for the repairs will be paid for by the insurance of the driver who caused the damage. It's not yet clear if there will be a need for any road closures.
