GRAND RAPIDS, Mich — Multiple lane closures for north and southbound US-131 have been in effect for over a month in Grand Rapids.

The construction was expected to end Friday after more than a month of construction. However, that deadline has been extended.

The work began in early August and is now expected to last through Oct. 29. Lane closures will be in effect in both directions of US-131 between Franklin Street and I-196.

The work is weather dependent, and more information on the project can be found here.
