SB US-131 reopens after car swerves into semi causing it to overturn on freeway

All southbound lanes were closed, as well as the left lane of northbound US-131 while crews worked on clean-up.

GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. — Michigan State Police are investigating a crash involving a car and semi on southbound US-131 near 54th Street Friday.

Police say a Chevy Trailblazer swerved into a semi, causing it to strike the median wall and overturn. It is not known if anyone sustained injuries in the crash.

Southbound lanes on US-131, as well as the left lane heading northbound were closed for about 30 minutes while crews investigated.
