NWS: Dangerous swimming conditions expected along Lake Michigan Thursday

The National Weather Service is warning beach goers of dangerous swimming conditions Thursday afternoon and evening.

According to the NWS, wave heights could potentially reach three to six feet with strong currents and winds from 15 to 25 mph.

North sides of piers will be especially dangerous for swimmers.

The NWS says beaches from Ludington all the way down to St. Joseph could experience these dangerous conditions.

The NWS is continuing to monitor the conditions and will update if anymore information becomes available.
