NEW ORLEANS — It will be a beautiful Saturday with sunny skies and warm temperatures. Highs climb to the mid 80s with humidity still low enough to where it won't feel too bad outside. Tonight will be slightly more humid with lows in the 60s, but still quiet.
Mother's Day still looks dry and warm, but it will be a little more humid. Highs in the upper 80s will feel like the 90s. Expect a mix of sun and clouds. By Sunday night a few showers and storms could start to develop and this trend will continue into next week. The severe weather threat is low, but a few strong storms are possible.
A cold front will begin to move in Monday. This will help with the development of showers and t-storms across the area. A few of these could be strong. This front will be slowly moving through the area, so expect the chance for rain to linger well into Thursday. With multiple days of rain possible we'll once again have to watch for localized flooding.
By Friday the cold front will push offshore and we dry out.
