5 events you don't want to miss this July in Muskegon

See a variety of fun events going on this July in Muskegon.

MUSKEGON, Mich. - There's is a ton of fun to be had in Muskegon this summer.

Andy O'Riley joined us to shares all the details on his top five July events in this edition of "Positively Muskegon."

July 3-7 – Muskegon Rockstock
The Midway is back at Heritage Landing! There are also 3 nights of concerts with Puddle of Mudd, Trapt, Saliva and the Monsters Of Rock Tribute show.  There are also fireworks on the 4th. Concerts are only $10 a night or a $25 ticket gets you in to all three nights of music and the midway is just a daily $25 wristband.  This festival literally started off with a couple local bands and a dream and has grown to be one of the biggest in Muskegon.  Congrats to Brandon Baskin and his crew.  Concert tickets are at Star Tickets.

July 5 & 6  - Lakeshore Art Festival
The Lakeshore Art Festival is happening in Downtown Muskegon.  Fine art, fun art, food art, beverage art.  It’s a great part of the holiday weekend and there’s a little something for everyone.  Stroll the streets, and if you have not been to Muskegon in a while, this is a great chance to see first hand what’s been going on by way of the boom!  Local artisans are on hand along with a great representation of crafters and artists from all over the Midwest.  Great couple of days to come to town and enjoy.

July 11-13 – Muskegon Turns 150!
We figured we’d throw a party for the sesquicentennial.  We invited the likes of Bret Michaels of Poison, Gretchen Wilson, Kansas, Warrant, Freddie Jackson for a little R&B.  The party will be at Heritage Landing.  There will be plenty of great food and fun to go along with the concerts, and the atmosphere at Heritage Landing is unbeatable.  Tickets are at Star Tickets in advance.

July 17-20 - Muskegon Bike Time and Rebel Road
It’s our celebration of all things motorcycle!  There are thousands and thousands of bikers and party goers in from all over the USA. Live music on almost every corner, beverage tents, vendors, camping, stunt shows. Western Avenue is covered in bikes and fun loving people.

July 31 – The Workaholic Women’s Wednesday Cruise
It takes place on the Aquastar! Britta Cleveland is your host for this great trip out on Muskegon Lake and Lake Michigan. The Aquastar was formerly known as the Port City Princess and has been revamped and restored with all kinds of new amenities. On this cruise, you’ll find cool vendors, maybe a nice spread of munchies, cash bar, music dancing and more.  Visit Aquastarcruises.com for tickets and there really is no better way to experience a Lake Michigan sunset than to be right out on the water!  Come on out for a great time.
