23-year-old father fatally shot in Wyoming

Police are still looking for suspects.

WYOMING, Mich. — Police in Wyoming are investigating a shooting that killed a 23-year-old man Sunday night.

Around 10:35 p.m. police responded to a home on Curtis Drive SW off of Clyde Park Avenue SW on a shots fired call. When officers arrived they found a man with a fatal gunshot wound outside the home. Medardo David Ibuado, 23, of Wyoming was pronounced dead at the scene.

Ibaudo's family said he was a father to a 4-year-old boy and a 8-month-old girl.

Wyoming police said they do not know yet if Ibaudo knew the shooter. But preliminary information suggests the shooting was not random.

Anyone with information regarding this homicide is asked to contact the Wyoming Police at 616-530-7300 or 911. They can also report information anonymously by calling Silent Observer at 616-774-2345. The Silent Observer is offering a reward up to $2,500 for information that helps solve the crime.

This is the fourth homicide to occur so far this year in Kent County and the first for the city of Wyoming.
