Friday was a mostly cloudy and cool day across West Michigan with temperatures in the low to mid 20s north and mid to upper 20s elsewhere.
Friday night, snow will begin to overspread the entire region after midnight with 1-2" likely by daybreak Temperatures will be in the low to mid 10s north to the mid 10s to around 20° elsewhere. Blowing and drifting will be a problem towards daybreak as winds increase from the east to 8-16 mph inland and to 12-22 mph along the lakeshore. Wind chills will be around 3-8°.
Saturday will be cloudy and cold with an additional 1-2" of snow likely with heavier amounts along and south of I-96. Temperatures will be in the low to mid 20s inland and mid to upper 20s along the lakeshore. Blowing and drifting snow will continue as winds will be strong from the east at 10-20 mph inland and 12-22 mph along the lake
