Washington State - The Pierce County Medical Examiner's Office has confirmed the identity of a body found at the base of Comet Falls near Mt. Ranier, Washington State.
They've confirmed the identity as 22 year old Darcy Quick, a Hope College Graduate.
Quick disappeared last Friday, after telling her roommate she was going for a hike.
Monday Richard Frost, The Dean of Students at Hope, said ?She is a person that gives of herself. A person that serves others, that wants to help others that wants to reach out to others that don't have as much.?
Frost met quick through her volunteer work organizing Hope's annual dance marathon. She was also a member of the Student Activities Committee and the service group Alpha Phi Omega. Quick also joined a campus outdoors group, revealing her love for nature.
Park rangers found Quick's body Monday 5 miles from the trailhead where Quick parked her car, adding that the hike she made is steep and still snowy. Park officials believe it's quite likely she slipped and fell 360 feet to her death.
Quick graduated from Hope College in May. Her parents live in the Chicago area and her sister lives in Zeeland.
