MOUNT CLEMENS, Mich. (AP) - A judge has awarded 50 million dollars to the estate of Tara Grant in a wrongful-death lawsuit filed against her husband. Stephen Grant is charged with killing and dismembering the Macomb County woman in February. The suit was filed by Tara Grant's sister, Alicia Standerfer of Chillicothe, Ohio. Earlier, she was granted temporary custody of the Grants' children, ages four and six. The wrongful-death suit was never answered by Stephen Grant, who awaits a June-fourth preliminary hearing on charges of murder and mutilation of a corpse. Earlier yesterday, another Macomb County judge ruled that Stephen Grant had no rights to his deceased wife's assets.
