GRAND RAPIDS - On Thursday WZZM13 told you how local food pantries need donations of frozen turkeys to distribute to the needy over the holidays.
On Friday a Grand Rapids based business stepped up to the plate. Instant Cash Advance made a big donation to Mel Trotter Ministries of 150 turkeys and 240 cans of yams from Spartan Foods. The Grand Rapids based payday advance company is challenging the rest of the community to help out as well. Chris Nicholas of Instant Cash Advance says, ?I just think a lot of people should come out and help with the turkeys, or you know, donate anything to Mel Trotter or any of the food banks. I think it's really important that they come out and donate.?
Mel Trotter Ministries is accepting donations from people in the greater Grand Rapids area. Viewers in the Holland area can donate to the Community Action House on west 14th street.
