CMU shooting suspect yet to face judge, wake planned for parents

The teenager accused of shooting his parents Friday. March 2 at Central Michigan University could face the judge for the first time soon.

James Eric Davis, Jr.spent the weekend in the hospital after being captured early Saturday morning. He's from the Chicago area, and the Chicago Tribune reports authorities want Davis to have his first hearing Tuesday, March 6.

Investigators are trying to figure out if he'll be able to appear through video feed from the hospital. His bail is set at $3 million.

Davis faces two counts of murder for the deaths of James Eric Davis Sr. and Diva Davis. They were killed after coming to pick Davis up. He had previously been in the hospital for erratic behavior.

A wake for his parents will be held Friday from 4 to 8 p.m. in Chicago, and the funeral will be Saturday.
