Over Veteran's Day, Heart of West Michigan United Way, Ameri-Corps VISTA, and Grand Rapids Catholic Central staff and students did their best to help out local vets and their families. Particularly the ones served by 'Community Rebuilders,' and 'Habitat for Humanity.'
The students made 220 containers of detergent. That equals out to around 11-thousand loads of laundry. Again, not something you'd think about. But, detergent 'aint cheap. They also made 300 'Magic Eraser kids and 100 fleece hats. That's in addition to the 'thank you cars' the kids wrote.
I think it's important we *all* remember that. One Good Thing to everyone involved - Heart of West Michigan United Way... Ameri-Corps VISTA, and Catholic Central.
