Sponsored: Montague course offers 30 holes of golf for every skill level

Old Channel Trail Golf Course in Montague is billed as an affordable, well maintained option for golfers of all levels.

Old Channel Trail Golf Course in Montague is billed as an affordable, well maintained option for golfers of all levels.  The lakeshore course features 30 holes of golf, plus a beautiful lakefront wedding and event venue.  Courtney Friday explained that Harold Bailey started the course with the first nine holes,  The Woods, 1927.  That first nine was inspired by Scottish links style courses. Homer’s granddaughter, Meriam Leeke, took over the course and she added the second nine, The Meadow, in 1967.  The Valley, the last of the nines, opened in 1995.  Along with the course's three nines, there are also have three full-length practice holes, a driving range, and two putting/chipping greens.  Friday said Old Channel Trail offers many different membership options, for any level of golfer. "In the off season," Friday explained, "we also offer 2 or 4 player options and 12 play passes. Those are great gift ideas!"
